We are happy to broadcast that MBT was chosen by France Télévision, the french public media group, to modernize its ingest, playout and digital asset management system.

During the second half of 2010, France Télévision launched a public tender to get and compare offers provided by several well-known prestigious suppliers from the international broadcast market, and finally chose MBT after an advanced selection process. Indeed, after several months building all together the best solution with customer and partners, MBT and SONY team were chosen as the most capable of meeting France Télévision expectations. Phoenix video management and Sphere Digital Asset Management, especially, seduced by their ingenious and innovative conception.

Based on this challenging project, MBT can thus share this experience with its customers
and pursue other prestigious ambitions in France and on the international stage.

The french public media group chooses MBT.

France Télévision, the french public media group, chose SONY and MBT solutions to modernize its ingest, validation and playout system in 2012.

MBT is present on the whole France Télévision system, such as playout, DMAM, ingest, graphics (…), and in all group's sites where the 4 premium channels (France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5) and the 4 thematic channels will be played out.

Playout

Phoenix suite is part of all MCR, studio, ingest and validation rooms (…) of the group. Connected to Sphere, it insures ingest, validation, playout operations. Liberty suite is also part of the system, for dynamic graphic management.

Media Management and storage

Sphere suite seduced by its flexibility: it interfaces perfectly with the storage and media distribution systems. Because it includes modules which communicate through an innovative data bus, which can manage the whole digital data exchange of a system: search, visualization, quality control, publishing, transcoding...
